Wellow Golf Club is a family owned business now in its 19th year set in 200 acres of picturesque parkland surrounding Embley Park the former family home of Florence Nightingale

Wellow Golf Course is easy walking yet challenging parkland course, with 27 holes, three loops of 9 holes, Ryedown, Embley and Blackwater offering opportunities for all standards of golfer. Visitors are welcome to play 9 or 18 holes, offers available especially in the afternoons.

Ryedown Course - Starts and finishes with a Par 3. But the most talked about hole on this nine is another Par 3 the 3rd with a tree to play over, a green guarded by bunkers and a stream running to the left of the green. I high accurate tee shot is required.
Embley Course - A dog leg to start with, followed by the longest hole on the course, then a long Par 3 uphill over 200 yards will test golfers of all abilities, but the most testing hole on this nine could be the 9th hole. A good drive up the left is required to miss the bunker before playing a daunting second shot to a green guarded by a pond and bunker. This hole has spoilt many a good card.

Blackwater Course - Named after the river Blackwater which runs alongside, a short walk from the Clubhouse gets you started on this nine. It starts with a Par 5 that can be reached with two good shots followed by a Par 3 surrounded by bunkers. A series of holes follow that require good tee shots to carry the various hedge’s/ponds and water hazards that will reward the big hitter.
